Technical Sales Engineer South West Europe

at our branch office in Madrid, Spain. Being part of a competent, openminded and international team, you will get an opportunity to take care of several Smart Grid customer projects in South West Europe such as Spain, France, Portugal and Italy. Primary responsibilities and duties would include
providing support to Key Accounts Managers and Partners by supplying expert knowledge, perform product and solutions demonstration to the technical audience and training on company products and services.
assignment to specific activities and providing technical leadership in the definition and execution of said activities and providing ongoing technical expertise and management.
Management of small customer projects independently
We are seeking for a highly motivated person with extensive knowledge of electrical Distribution Systems and the associated networks that are utilized (e.g. underground, overhead, meshed networks) with leadership ability and capability to work with minimal supervision and willingness to travel. In detail we expect:
Minimum 5 years Utility Communication, Distribution Engineering or Substation Management background working in the Utility industry
Minimum 5 years IP networking, Telecom knowledge
Background in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, knowledge of DNP, Modbus, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, Ethernet communication protocols and Linux, experience in SCADA or remote monitoring and control
Knowledge of electrical utility systems and safety practices
Experience in working with customers on defining, testing, and deploying new products and services and supporting end to end network systems a plus
Experience working with Product Marketing and/or Product Management to define new markets and new products to sell into those market spaces desired but not required
Training and Project Management experience is a plus
Fluent in English and German
