Job Description

The Mainframe Test Engineer role has responsibility for the manual testing of client-specific applications.

Key Responsibilities may include:

·Reviews relevant initiatives and project-related documentation

·Lead a Team and be in direct contact with our Client

·Writes test cases & scripts based on requirements, executes test scripts that include validation of results throughout the testing lifecycle.

·Reports defects and using the defect tracking tool, reproduces errors and provides detailed step-by-step documentation relating to these errors

·Reports adverse testing conditions to Lead (environment issues, etc.)

·Tracks/records data entry and scripts, proactively provides daily status updates and escalates issue to supervisors and managers as appropriate

· Coordinate deployment of code for nearshore testing (COIN-specific)

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience· 2-5 years work experience required

Professional Skill Requirements

· Excellent communication skills with solid ability to communicate with overseas clients.

· English speaking skills is a must.

· Quality Center/Test Director

· Familiarity with CICS, JCL, TSO, FileAid, XPTR, View Direct

· Excellent time management skills

Preferred Skills

· Mainframe development background

· Familiarity with integrated / end-to-end testing & SDLC

· Six Sigma exposure; financial services exposure
